The Highland Center Hrauneyjar is accessible by paved road all year round. From Reykjavík the trip takes approximately 2,5 hours, covering 156 km. If arriving by rental car, guests must verify that the vehicle is insured for Iceland's mountain F roads especially when driving in the highlands.

How to get here

Take route 1 east from Reykjavík. Pass through the town of Selfoss, approximately 15 km past Selfoss turn left onto route 30. Remain on route 30 for approximately 17 km and then turn right on to route 32. Remain on route 32 and continue onto route F26. The Highland Center Hrauneyjar will be on the right-hand side.
